Nalanda Dance Research Center completed 25 years as a recognized research institution by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India this month. Nalanda is the only dance institute in the country which is recognised as a research centre by the Ministry of Science and Technology Govt. of India.
Established in 1966 by the renowned dancer and scholar, Dr. Kanak Rele. Nalanda soon blossomed into a unique three - tiered institution for imparting training Education research and in classical Indian dances.

On 06th August 2010: The Federation of the Indo-Israel Chambers of Commerce (FIICC) honoured Mr. Ratan Tata as the ‘Businessman of the Decade’ in recognition of his outstanding contribution to business and industry.
The function was held at the Crystal Room of the Taj Mahal Hotel, Apollo Bunder and was graced by His Excellency Shri. K. Shankaranarayanan, the Governor of Maharashtra, who inaugurated the evening’s event.
